Punjab

 The state of Punjab is renowned for its cuisine, culture, and history. Punjab has a vast public transportation and communication network.

Punjab receives many religious tourists, as the state is home to some of the holiest places in Sikhism, including the Harmandir Sahib and three of the five Panj Takht.

Gobindgarh Fort
Gobindgarh Fort of Maharaja Ranjit Singh in Amritsar has been developed as a museum and theme park, serving as a repository of the History of Punjab. It showcases the Zamzama cannon and a replica of the Koh-i-Noor diamond, alongside programs such as the Whispering Walls Laser Show , a 7D show, and night cultural performances .

Khatkar Kalan

Khatkar Kalan is a village located between the towns of Banga and Nawanshar in the Shahid Bhagat Singh Nagar district of the Indian state of Punjab. This is the ancestral home of S. Bhagat Singh, the well-known freedom fighter of India. The district is named after him , Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar. Neighboring villages sharing a boundary with Khatkar Kalan include Thandian, Dosanjh Khurd, Manguwal, Karnana, Kahma, Bhootan, Bhukhari, and the town of Banga.

Durgiana Temple
The Durgiana Temple, also known as Durga Tirath and Sitla Mandir, is a major Hindu temple in Punjab (India) situated in the city of Amritsar. Though it is a Hindu temple, its architecture is similar to that of the Golden Temple of the Sikh religion. It is named after the Goddess Durga, the chief Goddess deified and worshipped here.

Harike Wetland
Harike Bird Sanctuary, also known as Hari-ke-Pattan, is a wetland where lakhs of birds arrive from Siberia, Russia, Kazakhstan, and other cold regions . They begin arriving in mid-October and stay until March.

Jallianwala Bagh
Jallianwala Bagh is a garden situated in the city of Amritsar in Punjab. This monument signifies the nation. It was established in 1951. Jallianwala Bagh is well known due to the massacre that occurred at this site . The Jallianwala Bagh Massacre took place on April 13, 1919, in which thousands of Indians lost their lives as General Dyer ordered his army to fire on innocent civilians.

Golden Tample

 

The Golden Temple is a gurdwara located in Amritsar, Punjab, India.It is the pre-eminent spiritual site of Sikhism and its holiest site.The gurdwara complex is a collection of buildings around the sanctum sanctorum and the sarovar (holy pool), known as the Amrit Sarovar.  One of these is Akal Takht, part of the Panj Takht (five seats of authority in Sikhism) and the chief centre of religious authority of Sikhism.  Additional buildings include a clock tower, the offices of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, a museum and a langar—a free Sikh community-run kitchen that offers a vegetarian meal to all visitors without discrimination.  Over 150,000 people visit the shrine every day for worship, being one of the most visited religious sites in the world.The gurdwara complex has been nominated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its application is pending on the tentative list of UNESCO.
